Route Slide Show Help

Click on the Board Here arrow on the Route Atlas Slide Show Cover Page to open the Route Overview Page. The overview page shows the map of the entire route and a list of all of the station stops on the route.  

A cluster of navigation buttons is provided in the upper left hand corner of each slide in the guide. Use these buttons to navigate within a slide show. (All links to external websites and to other Rail Passenger USA Route Atlas Slide Shows will open in a new window or tab on your browser.)

If you select and click on any city in the list of stops on the Route Overview Page you will open the Station Area Map Page for that city. The Station Area Map Page contains a map of the local area, local transportation links, and other local information. 

If you page back from the selected Station Area Map Page you will go to the Station To Station Map showing the route that the train has taken from the previous station stop to the selected station stop.

If you page forward from the Station Area Map Page you wil go to the Area Photo Page that contains a photograph of local interest. Clicking on the photo opens a link to a local history site or other site of local interest. This page also includes a link to local lodging accomodations and often contains more links to selected area attractions.

If you page forward from the Area Photo Page you will go to the next Station To Station Map showing the route from your selected station to the next stop on the route.

Viewing Notes:

Rail Passenger USA Route Slide Shows are best viewed in the "Full Screen" view. Use F11 on your keyboard, or follow your browser provider's instructions to transfer to and from the Full Screen view.
